I would suggest buying a piano tuner book that gives you the blow by blow, and skip a state of the art electronic tuner provided your current electronic tuner can handle the middle oatave. I have to admit that its SO many years since I had to do it, I've really forgotten the whole procedure that my piano tuner tudored me with. in each Octave until you have a reasonably tuned piano. From there, you go to 3rds, 5ths, until all those strings sound right when playing chords. Once you get the middle Octave in tune, start tuning the other strings in Octaves, say starting with "C". You use the mutes to isolate EACH string and tune them one at a time.
That's because the intervals on an acoustic piano are not "absolute" across the entire instrument and far from "perfect", and what's "mathematically" correct is not as musical on an acoustic piano. If you were to tune an acoustic piano with an electronic tuner for every note, it would sound horrible. The biggest thing you need to know is, you ONLY use an electronic tuner to set the octave from middle "C" to the "C" above middle C on ACOUSTIC pianos. He suggested he get me a tuning hammer and some mutes so I could touch up my Electric Grand myself between his tunings. To make a long story short, I consulted my piano tuner about my dilema when I came home. Sometimes I was out for 2 or 3 months at a time and wasn't able to get piano tuners on the Holiday Inn circuit a lot of places. I had piano tuners come in and tune my Upright piano for years, and when I bought a Yamaha CP70 Electric Grand, I use to have my piano tuner come in and tune it up before I went on the road again.

Given the fact that I have a really good "tuning ear", should I expect to get: I suspect it will have a hard time picking up the lower and higher keys, but if I can get the middle ones right, I expect to be able to tune the upper by comparing them to their middle octave. But I wonder how the chromatic tuner will perform at this task.
